On May 29, 1953 Sherpa Tenzing Norgay and the New Zealander Edmund P. Hillary, climbed Mount Everest. It was evidenced by a British expedition (J. Hunt). The course was documented in film. जय नेपाल!

Kathmandu Valley
When I first flew into the Valley of Kathmandu, a long, long time ago (it seems), it was in a DC3 - can you believe that? I looked out of the window and it seemed like the wing tips were so close to the terraced hills! It was awesome!! The terraces of paddy fields were emerald green. Upon descent, you will see the valley. Home to a huge international and diplomatic community. The city is surrounded by the beautiful Himalayan mountain range.
